Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extension based on performance and needs.

Schedule

The position requires a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required, as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills and the ability to manage complex patient cases across all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients.
• Assess and monitor patients, documenting care accurately.
• Administer medications and perform medical interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in triage and emergency response protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting; 1 year may be considered with strong qualifications.
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• CPI certification is required.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, preferably Epic.
