Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts, Monday to Friday, with varying hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some shifts may include Thursday to Monday or Friday to Tuesday, with alternating weekend shifts.

Job Description

The Skilled Home Care Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in patients' homes, focusing on a variety of medical diagnoses. The role requires a skilled professional with extensive experience in home health settings, particularly with infusion therapy and wound care.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound care.
• Manage IV therapy, including IV skills, PICC line, and midline care.
• Conduct patient visits, averaging 6-8 visits per day.
• Administer medications via SQ/IM injections and perform lab draws (venipuncture).
• Utilize glucometers and pro-time machines effectively.
• Provide post-operative care and manage high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, and stroke.
• Perform foley catheter changes and care, as well as staple and suture removals.
• Document patient care using BayCare Forms and scheduling systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in skilled home care nursing.
• Experience with OASIS training and documentation.
• BCLS certification required.
• Active Florida or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Must have valid driver’s license and car for home visits.
• COVID-19 vaccination required or valid exemption on file.
• Flu shot required or declination with mandatory mask-wearing while at work.
