Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The shift consists of 3 - 12 hour days, from either 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Flexibility is required, as start times may vary depending on daily assignments. Evening shifts may be required for PACU nurses to complete their shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of nursing experience and will be responsible for providing care in a fast-paced outpatient setting, including pre-operative and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide patient care in line with hospital protocols.
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and provide discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with surgical staff to maintain a safe and effective environment.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the Epic charting system.
• Monitor patients during their recovery phase and assist in any necessary interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Current CA RN License. Pending licenses accepted.
• Certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Charge experience in a nursing role is a plus.
