Physical Therapist - Day Shift Contract Position

Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the ordering physician. The role requires the management of a full caseload, including regular updates to treatment plans and home exercise programs, as well as knowledge of re-evaluation timing based on insurance authorization.

This position involves work in both Rehabilitation and Acute Rehabilitation settings and may require the candidate to work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as dictated by hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients.
• Plan and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs.
• Regularly update treatment and home exercise plans.
• Independently manage a full caseload.
• Ensure compliance with insurance authorization for re-evaluations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in outpatient and acute settings with adult patients.
• Current Hawaii State Physical Therapist license is required before the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross is required.
