Speech Language Pathologist - Pediatric Outpatient

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule of 5x8 hours, typically from 08:00 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 18:00. Weekend and holiday coverage is required every third weekend.

Job Description

Join our team as a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric outpatient therapy. In this role, you will evaluate and treat pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing deficits, making recommendations and treatment plans while also providing follow-up care. You will work closely with acute inpatient floors and outpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric patients with speech and language disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing deficits.
• Carry out follow-up care to ensure patients achieve their communication and swallowing goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent post-graduate education.
• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult inpatient acute care and 2 years in outpatient adult environments.
• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
• Experience with adult swallow evaluations and treatment, cognitive evaluations and treatments.
• Trach and vent experience required.
