Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirement is every other weekend.

Job Description

The registered nurse will provide comprehensive care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries and performing sterile vaginal exams. The ideal candidate will be experienced in utilizing Epic for charting and will be required to float to postpartum as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with labor and delivery procedures including C-sections.
• Provide breastfeeding support and discharge teaching to parents.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Perform newborn assessments and manage care for mothers and infants post-delivery.
• Engage in effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Labor and Delivery.
• Current California state RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
