Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular Technologist

Schedule

This position requires variable shifts, including days with varied times. Shifts may be either 8 or 10 hours long, totaling 40 hours weekly. The role also requires being on call 1-2 days per week and approximately every 2-3 weekends, including holidays.

Job Description

The Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures. Responsibilities include applying specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography procedures, cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker placements, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion, along with hemodynamic monitoring. The role requires maintaining basic understanding of radiology equipment and image processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional procedures in the cath lab.
• Monitor hemodynamics and patient status during procedures.
• Maintaining and operating radiology equipment.
• Assist in invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.
• Document procedures accurately using EMR: Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Keen understanding of Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures.
