40 hours/week; Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7 AM - 4 PM; Tuesday, Thursday: 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for delegating and directing therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. This role includes educating patients, families, students, and coworkers about therapy services and maintaining professional standards in accordance with compliance guidelines and the organization's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Use clinical reasoning to develop suitable treatment plans and goals to expedite discharge within an established length of stay.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Provide care based on signed physician orders and manage services within insurance approval.
• Participate in student education as assigned, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and active participation in professional organizations.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Understand and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an Accredited School.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active physical therapist license for the state of practice.
