Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Neuro/Ortho/Trauma unit. This position involves providing exceptional care to patients with a variety of neurological and orthopedic conditions. You will be an essential part of a collaborative healthcare team, focusing on patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to neurosurgical patients, including those undergoing spinal surgery, brain tumor treatment, and trauma recovery.
• Monitor patients for signs of neurological distress and medically manage seizure disorders, VP shunt placements, and head bleeds.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures as per hospital guidelines.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and post-discharge instructions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Neuro/Neurosurgical experience is required.
• No specific certification is required for this position.
• An active RN license is mandatory.
• Education modules and ongoing training will be provided as needed.
