Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days required every 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all nursing responsibilities are carried out effectively while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer emergency care to patients in acute situations.
• Manage patient assessments and formulate appropriate care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications as needed.
• Conduct triage for incoming patients based on severity of conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required.
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is required.
• Previous charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred.
• Active nursing license is required at the time of submission.
