Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in the Birthing Suite, where we provide personalized and compassionate care to patients during their childbirth experience. Our facility offers a variety of birthing options, including natural childbirth and full epidural anesthesia, with expert support available 24/7. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, care, and medical expertise our patients need throughout labor.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one nursing care for patients in active labor.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
• Support patients and families during the labor and delivery process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and newborns.
• Educate patients on various birthing options and pain management techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery / OB experience.
• Fetal Monitoring experience is required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active AWHONN certification.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• License verification required for practice.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• STABLE certification is highly preferred.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working 36 hours per week. Expect a ratio of 1:1 during active labor and 1:2/3 for mother-baby care.
