Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shift from 06:45 to 19:15, with required weekend coverage (4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks) and potential floating as needed.

Job Description

The Cardiac Telemetry RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with various cardiac conditions. The nurse will monitor patient vitals, interpret dysrhythmias, administer medications, and implement care plans while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry patients
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips
• Perform EKG interpretation and documentation using EPIC
• Assist in post-operative care for cardiac procedures
• Initiate and maintain IV access
• Provide wound care and manage chest tubes as needed
• Participate in patient education and support

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with MS/Tele/Stepdown units preferred
• Must be willing to float within the facility as needed
• Must be open to working holidays
