Night 3x12-Hour Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 with every other weekend coverage.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity med-surg/telemetry unit. The focus will be on stroke and TIA patients, along with other complex medical conditions. The nurse will be responsible for delivering a high level of patient experience while managing various acute conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients with diagnoses including Stroke, TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Respiratory Failure, CHF, and Sepsis.
• Administer medications and treatments as per prescribed protocols using the Omnicell medication system.
• Provide patient education and support for chronic illnesses and treatment procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in float assignments to other units based on patient care needs and staff competencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Med-Surg unit, with EPIC charting experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
• Previous charge experience and ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6.
