Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a medical/surgical telemetry unit. Responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring patient vital signs, and performing necessary bedside procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient condition, including vital signs and telemetry readings.
• Assist with post-operative care and perform bedside procedures as necessary.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record, using EPIC.
• Float to similar units as needed and provide weekend coverage as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN TN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
