Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a step-down unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for individuals requiring monitoring and support, including those on telemetry.
• Manage medications and administer drips, including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and initiation of sotolol.
• Assist in transitional care for patients stepping down from ICU, ensuring stability without the use of vents or pressor support.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs and ensure safety and effectiveness of care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a comparable setting.
• State licensed as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Prior charge experience and a patient ratio of 6:1 preferred.
