Job Description

The Perioperative Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care during the perioperative period. The role requires proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and working in the recovery room as necessary. Effective communication with other members of the perioperative team is essential. The nurse must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and support the mission, vision, and values of the organization. A CNOR certification is preferred.

Covid-19 vaccination is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process.
• Scrub and circulate during surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Assist in the recovery room, monitoring patient progress post-anesthesia.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical and nursing team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols as mandated by the organization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Nursing License (State-specific licensing required).
• CNOR certification is preferred.
• Experience in perioperative nursing is highly desirable.
• Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
