Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 6-month contract position, starting November 2nd.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on their needs, goals, and physician direction. The role involves providing comprehensive care, ensuring effective functional treatment programs, and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers. It also emphasizes maintaining professional standards and compliance with organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and create targeted treatment plans.
• Facilitate direct therapy services while ensuring a focus on patient safety.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Engage in a continuous professional development plan and support student training.
• Adhere to state practice laws, maintain licensure, and complete required training.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for physical therapy.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is highly desired.
