LPN - Part Time Nights

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position requires a commitment to provide quality care catering to the needs of adult and geriatric patients, adhering to the principles of growth and development throughout the life span.

Responsibilities

• Collect ongoing data relevant to patients' physical and psychosocial conditions and communicate findings to the Registered Nurse and Interdisciplinary Team members.
• Contribute to the creation and revision of developmentally appropriate care plans reflecting nursing diagnoses and interventions.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure all aspects of care are addressed, promoting customer satisfaction.
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practices and participate in the mentoring/orientation of staff.
• Adhere to safety protocols while planning and delivering care, recognizing the potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid NY LPN Licensure
• BLS certification (must be through AHA/RQI)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an LPN, preferably in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Schedule

The LPN is expected to start with full-shift orientation on either a Tuesday or Thursday. This position is part-time, with possible shifts of 2x8s or 3x8s per week.
