Job Description

The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. The role involves assessing patients during admission and throughout their stay, administering IV medications, therapy, and blood as needed, providing patient education, and documenting nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Document nursing care actions and patient responses thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about their care and treatment plans.
• Act as charge nurse and preceptor when needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• 1+ year of previous critical care nursing experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Candidate must not have any actions on their license or background checks.
