Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring availability for 36 hours per week. The candidate must be able to work during specified holiday blocks, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients from infancy through geriatric stages in a newly renovated Emergency Department with state-of-the-art facilities. The nurse will work as part of an integrated team, adapting to the fast-paced environment of emergency medical services.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medication, and manage emergency situations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and medical staff.
• Document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid New Hampshire or compact RN license.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of current experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least three months is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
