Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Night 4x12-Hour shift (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in high-risk labor and delivery to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments, performing both maternal and newborn care responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery, continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
• Circulate and provide newborn care, including administering Vitamin K and performing assessments.
• Manage high-risk obstetric patients, including midwifery clients and substance recovery services.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure adherence to AWHONN guidelines.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage care during postpartum recovery.
• Provide education and support for breastfeeding and family-centered care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, with high-risk experience.
• Active compact RN license.
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EPIC) is essential.
