Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-risk obstetrics and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include providing care for patients during labor and delivery, post-partum care, and supporting midwifery clients.

Responsibilities

• Function as the Baby Nurse during delivery, overseeing the care of newborns until transfer to postpartum.
• Administer necessary medications and conduct assessments for mother and baby.
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and support neonatal resuscitation as needed.
• Ensure adherence to AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient care.
• Manage high-volume patient census effectively to promote optimal outcomes.
• Float to other units, such as Antepartum and Postpartum, as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, preferably with high-risk patients.
• Current RN license (compact license acceptable).
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate.
• Experience with EPIC electronic fetal monitoring is required.
