CT Technologist - Nights

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services to patients through advanced imaging modalities. This role prioritizes patient education and safety, ensuring that patients understand procedures and cooperate throughout their examinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex tasks involving the operation of CT scanners and related equipment, following prescribed radiation safety protocols.
• Position patients for CT scans, using necessary positioning devices and protective equipment.
• Conduct all exams based on established Imaging Department Protocols or as per the Radiologist's instructions.
• Assist the radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and manage the collation of processed images.
• Dispense oral contrast to patients and demonstrate proficiency in IV placement for contrast administration.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EHR system and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in various modalities and adjusting schedules as needed.
• Order, stock, and maintain inventory of supplies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program - Required.
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) including Computed Tomography (CT) - Required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire) - Required.
• Two (2) years of prior experience as a practicing CT Technologist - Preferred.
• Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS - Preferred.
