Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift, 4 days of 12 hours each week, including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing superior quality care to patients while ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff. The role includes nursing assessments, implementing individualized care plans, and participating in rehabilitation programs as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within the first 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Document patient information and status timely and accurately in the medical record.
• Provide direct patient care by utilizing the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent patient information effectively among care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing staff and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Promote a positive work environment through team building and effective communication.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned after orientation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• Current RN license is required.
