Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse for our Seasonal Night Shift position. The ideal candidate will work in our Pediatric Step Down unit, providing care to a diverse group of pediatric patients. Our unit features 36 private rooms equipped with parent sleeping accommodations and a supportive healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to step-down pediatric patients, including those with high flow oxygen, spinal fusions, and chest tubes.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures such as NGTs, Foleys, TP Tubes, PIVs, and phlebotomy.
• Monitor patient vitals and progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Assist in creating a positive and collaborative team environment, fostering open communication and teamwork.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of current Pediatric RN experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• Experience with high flow oxygen, spinal fusion, and chest tubes is essential.
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
