Travel RN Position - Pediatric Step Down Unit

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pediatric RN to join our Pediatric Step Down Unit. The unit features 36 private rooms and offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment where teamwork and collaboration are highly valued. As a Travel RN, you will provide specialized care to pediatric patients recovering from various conditions, while ensuring family-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for step-down patients, including those with spinal fusions, chest tubes, and high-flow oxygen.
• Monitor and assess pediatric patients' conditions, implementing care plans as necessary.
• Perform procedures such as NGT placement, Foley catheterization, and phlebotomy.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, promoting understanding and comfort.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of current Pediatric RN experience.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience with high-flow oxygen, spinal fusions, and chest tubes is required.
• Prior experience with Meditech is preferred.
