Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The position requires expertise in managing patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries and associated critical care. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients diagnosed with conditions such as cardiogenic shock and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiothoracic ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications as prescribed.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic health records management.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiothoracic ICU.
• Experience with fresh hearts is REQUIRED.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are REQUIRED.
• EPIC experience is REQUIRED.
