Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will embrace the core values of our organization, focusing on delivering superior quality care while ensuring the safety of patients and staff. You will be responsible for comprehensive nursing assessments, developing individualized care plans, and engaging in the rehabilitation program. Effective communication and timely documentation are essential as you coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide patient education based on health care needs identified during assessments.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate in patient care programs, prioritizing education and rehabilitation.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing staff effectively.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety per hospital policies and procedures.
• Engage in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment.
• Assume charge responsibilities as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
