Electrophysiology RN - 3x12 Hour Shifts

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts primarily during the day with some late night (evenings), holidays, and on-call duties as per unit needs.

Job Description

The Electrophysiology (EP) RN will function primarily in the primary nurse or circulator role, responsible for patient assessment, medication review, clinical documentation, and coordination of care surrounding EP procedures. Key duties include:

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical history, medications, allergies, and lab results prior to procedures.
• Identify patient-specific risks and coordinate care with the Electrophysiologist and interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and moderate sedation as needed, along with ongoing assessment during procedures.
• Document procedures and patient safety measures in the Epic system.
• Assist with room setup, turnover, and ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with all team members to support timely and safe patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in moderate sedation required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiac implant and structural heart scrub preferred but not required.
