Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide patient care in a rehabilitation and acute care setting. The successful candidate will work with adults and geriatric patients experiencing a variety of challenges, including swallowing deficits, cognitive deficits, and other neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and treatments for patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits.
• Utilize appropriate assessment tools and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families regarding communication and swallowing strategies.
• Complete documentation and charting using the Epic system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Current Kansas SLP license required (in hand).
• BLS certification required.
