Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. The role encompasses the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for the patient's return to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Document care in compliance with legal and organizational guidelines.
• Lead therapy services under valid physician orders and maintain insurance compliance.
• Participate in student education and supervision.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain licensure.
• Promote patient and employee safety in all practice aspects.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives and feedback processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
