Registered Nurse - Med Surg Neuro Nights

Schedule

This is a night shift position, with a 4x12-hour schedule from 18:30 to 07:00. The contract is for 13 weeks, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg Neuro team. The unit provides care for a variety of neurological patients, and the RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during the night shift. The RN will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform treatment protocols as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Participate in patient care planning and the implementation of nursing interventions.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans.
• Engage in rapid response team activation as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; CPI preferred.
• New travelers are accepted; previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
