This position offers a flexible schedule: Monday 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Wednesday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to the patients’ needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes overseeing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that promote a successful return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while maintaining compliance with the organization's standards and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document all patient care activities in compliance with state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
• Ensure care is administered under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of service.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 6 months of outpatient clinical experience required; no new graduates.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
