Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Clinicians must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver comprehensive care for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PICU with cardiac experience preferred, providing care and support for patients with varying acuity levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including IV therapy and blood products.
• Perform patient assessments and monitoring for vital signs and response to treatments.
• Assist in the management of ventilation and airway management for ventilated patients.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, families, and healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required.
• BLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU critical care experience, with 1 year of cardiac experience preferred.
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of complex patient needs.
