Registered Nurse - Mixed Critical Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position working 3 × 12-hour shifts weekly from 07:00 to 19:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a Mixed Critical Care Unit encompassing medical, cardiac, surgical, and neuro cases, excluding trauma. Responsibilities include floating to medical-surgical units with a focus on telemetry, as well as assisting in the Emergency Department for admission holds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing care for patients with conditions such as Sepsis, ARDS, CKD, MOF, overdoses, OUD/SUD, and Bone Marrow Transplant complications.
• Ensuring a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2.
• Participating in weekend shifts every other week and holiday shifts as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Specific skills in TNK for stroke, withdrawal management for OUD population, and knowledge of BMT are helpful but not required.
