Pediatric Critical Care Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Critical Care Nurse for a travel contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential care to pediatric patients requiring critical support. The position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in high-acuity settings and has strong skills in critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Administering medication and treatments to pediatric patients.
• Conducting assessments and monitoring vital signs.
• Managing ventilated patients and performing chest tube care.
• Providing procedural sedation and assisting with rapid sequence intubation.
• Administering blood products and managing central lines.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Floating to NICU or other units as required by patient needs.

Schedule

This position requires a Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend availability is required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Critical Care experience.
• Current certifications in BLS and PALS are required. NRP certification is preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Active compact state nursing license required at the time of submission.
