Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:30. Requires working 3 weekends per 4-week schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients while managing a challenging workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established standards and practices in the Emergency Room.
• Manage patient loads with ratios averaging 1:5-6, possibly up to 8 during peak times.
• Perform triage and care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Document care and maintain accurate records using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Level I trauma experience in an emergency setting.
• Current state RN license, ACLS, BCLS by AHA, PALS, TNCC.
• Preferred: ENPC certification and experience with continuous IV sedation.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is highly preferred.
