Experienced ER RN - Mid Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Document patient care according to standards and practices.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians and healthcare policies.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise to support the patient's longitudinal plan of care across units and departments.
• Exercise critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues as needed.
• Engage in professional nursing activities and peer review processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nursing Surgical (TNS) certification.

Schedule

This is a mid shift position with weekend rotations.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
