Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic Specialty

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5 days a week (07:00 - 15:30) with required weekend coverage every other weekend and every other holiday.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with strong orthopedic experience for immediate placement. The RN will float as needed per facility requirements and ensure the highest standards of patient care in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room during surgical procedures.
• Assist with a variety of orthopedic surgeries including but not limited to joint replacements, spinal fusions, and arthroscopic procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and effective workflow.
• Monitor patients' conditions pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
• Administer medications and manage patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent operating room nursing experience, specifically in orthopedics.
• Current NY State nursing license or proof of application for licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Strong proficiency in various surgical techniques and patient care practices in an OR setting.
• Must be able to pass a telemetry assessment on the first day of orientation.
