Med/Surg RN - Inpatient Observation Unit

This position requires working a Night 12x3 shift in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Med/Surg RN for our 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting with fluctuating patient acuity, and may be required to float to other areas of competency. This role involves managing both lower and higher acuity medical and trauma overflow patients, as well as mid holds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the observation unit.
• Monitor changing patient acuity and respond accordingly.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other areas as needed based on patient care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar acute care setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
