Registered Nurse - Med Surg Acute Care Oncology

This position requires a 12-hour day shift, scheduled from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Med Surg Acute Care Oncology. The candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in an acute care oncology setting.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment options.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med Surg or Acute Care Oncology.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Holiday Expectations

Candidates must be willing to work 2 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.

Assignment Duration

This is a temporary position with a guaranteed commitment of 36 hours weekly.
