Registered Nurse - Surgery Unit (Night Shift)

Schedule

Performing 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgery Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in surgical care, including but not limited to patients undergoing colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, and orthopedic procedures. This role requires flexibility to float and work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for surgical patients, managing pre and post-operative procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as prescribed.
• Utilize IV therapy and telemetry skills effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and hospital protocols.
• Perform EKGs and essential assessments as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, especially in surgical care.
• Active RN license required; candidates with a pending NC or Compact license may submit.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is a plus.
