Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

This position requires a night shift, specifically 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work in a primarily medical-surgical unit with required tele capability. The role includes overseeing patient care, working as a charge RN when needed, and floating to various departments as required. Travelers are subject to float across all facilities within the system as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient health through the use of telemetry.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including blood products and IV management.
• Utilize Rapid Response teams for patient emergencies.
• Conduct EKGs and interpret results.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required upon submission.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Previous charge experience is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.
• Must successfully complete an EKG exam during onboarding.
