Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30). Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The role encompasses nursing care in a high-risk and high-volume Labor & Delivery unit. Responsibilities include circulating during deliveries, providing newborn care, and working with advanced electronic fetal monitoring systems utilizing EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries and ensure newborn care until transfer to postpartum.
• Circulate for C-sections and provide necessary newborn assessments including eye care and Vitamin K injections.
• Support high-risk labor & delivery patients and assist with complex care requirements.
• Manage medication administration for various therapeutic needs including insulins, heparin, and magnesium sulfate.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring adherence to AWHONN guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery, with high-risk experience preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP.
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate.
• A valid compact RN license is required at the time of submission.
