Operating Room Circulator Nurse - Travel Position

Evenings, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Operating Room Circulator Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties in a Level III Trauma facility. The role entails coordinating and managing patient care throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring patient safety, maintaining regulatory compliance, and facilitating efficient surgical workflow.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and advocacy.
• Surgical case preparation and equipment supply management.
• Documentation and specimen handling.
• Medication administration.
• Coordination of multidisciplinary team activities.
• Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to evidence-based practices.
• Supporting a diverse caseload that includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience as an RN in a surgical setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in General, Ortho, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry procedures is required.
• Must be registered with the state of New Mexico and undergo fingerprinting.
