Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, working 36 hours weekly. The contract duration is 13 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients in the emergency department.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.

Holiday Expectations

Must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
