Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with options for call.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care to neonates, including those at 22 weeks gestation and above, with complex medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in EPIC documentation and have significant experience in NICU II and III patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates.
• Utilize specialized equipment including ventilators and monitoring systems.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for patient care plans.
• Educate families on care plans, procedures, and equipment usage.
• Participate in the management of special procedures such as full body cooling and tracheostomy care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience including NICU II and III.
• Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• Active state nursing license.
• At least one year of experience with EPIC documentation system.
