Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing patients with diverse conditions, primarily within the elderly population, focusing on respiratory, cardiac, and gastrointestinal diseases. Strong telemetry skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care by utilizing the Care Delivery Model.
• Work collaboratively in teams consisting of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT for up to 9 patients.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures including telemetry monitoring.
• Assist in managing patients' care, including those with respiratory distress and cardiac issues.
• Perform charting and documentation in Epic.
• Utilize ACLS and BLS skills effectively during patient emergencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York RN license required in hand to submit.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a med/surg or telemetry setting.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is highly preferred.
