Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across a variety of units in a tertiary teaching hospital. The therapist will work effectively within a team of 14-16 respiratory therapists, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators and non-invasive devices.
• Provide emergency respiratory care in critical care settings.
• Monitor patient status and adjust therapies based on clinical assessments.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS and NRP certifications preferred.
• Experience in acute care pediatrics, adult acute, and critical care settings is mandatory.
• Ability to float between units, including NICU/PICU as needed.
