Behavioral Health RN - Float Pool

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM). Must be available for weekend shifts every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health RN to join our Float Pool, providing care across 19 inpatient units encompassing children, adolescents, and adults. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, delegation abilities, and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a psychiatric setting.
• Floating between various units as needed, adapting to the specific needs of each patient group.
• Working effectively as a charge nurse when required, overseeing day-to-day operations without additional compensation for these duties.
• Utilizing electronic medical record systems for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland, with no temporary licenses accepted.
• BCLS certification is required.
• Experience with Allscripts (Sunrise) charting system is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills are essential.
